36 Hole Tournament results
Light
drizzle which turned to steady rain on Sunday (16 May) brought a damp end to the
two day annual 36-hole Sponsored Tournament. As the rain intensified on Sunday
afternoon conditions steadily worsened but play was completed before the course
became waterlogged.
A
field of over 120 players from around the South
Island took part and, in spite of the weather,
enjoyed a well run event which was well supported by
sponsors and volunteers alike.
Geraldine member Mike Trubshaw holed-in-one on the
147 metre par 3 12th during his Saturday
round.
The
Templar Salver for the men’s best gross score went
to Peter Hayes and the Mrs J C Templar Cup for the women’s
gross to Catherine Knight.
